Empties Review: Tree Hut Tropic Glow Body Butter & Sugar Scrub

Mémoire Entry #007

Discovering new beauty gems feels like finding hidden treasures, and that's exactly what happened when I stumbled upon the brand Tree Hut during a trip to Target. I know I’m so two thousand and late to the Tree Hut party but better late than never, right? On the hunt for a new body moisturizer and intrigued by the idea of trying a body scrub, I stumbled upon the Tree Hut display shelf. The first option I reached for was the Tropic Glow Firming Whipped Shea Body Butter, and with one whiff, I was sold – it was love at first sniff. Without hesitation, I tossed both the body butter and the Tropic Glow Firming Sugar Scrub into my cart, barely giving the other options a chance. Now that I've had the chance to use and emptied all the products, it's time for a review! 🥰🌺✨

🧐 What It Does 🧐

The Tree Hut Tropic Glow Firming Whipped Shea Body Butter is a lightweight yet hydrating body butter that leaves my skin soft, smooth, and glowing. The Firming Sugar Scrub gently removes dull, dry skin, while providing moisturization without leaving a sticky feeling. Both products have a delightful tropical scent that adds to the experience.

📖 My Experience 📖

I instantly fell in love with the scent and texture of both the body butter and sugar scrub. The body butter glided onto my skin so smoothly and provided moisturization without any heavy or greasy residue. The sugar scrub was gentle and easy to use, leaving my skin feeling refreshed without a sticky after-feel. The scent, although slightly more subtle than the body butter, was still amazing.

🪴 Highlight Ingredients 🪴

The body butter contains shea butter, known for its deep moisturizing and softening properties, as well as cupuacu butter, which helps prevent dry skin and restore firmness. Pistachio and guarana extracts contribute to smoother-looking skin. The sugar scrub features real sugar as a natural exfoliant, shea butter for deep moisturization, and a blend of natural oils (avocado, macadamia, sweet orange, sweet almond, evening primrose, and safflower) to condition the skin and promote a healthy glow. Cupuacu butter and guarana also play a role in enhancing the appearance of smoother skin.

👃 Smell 👃

The Tropic Glow scent transports my imagination to a tropical luxurious vacation every time I smell it. The scent notes include almond, golden amber, and Australian sandalwood, resulting in a warm, summery fragrance. To me, it reminds me of a tropical summery scent with a hint of a warm sugar cookie.

☁️ Texture 🌵

The body butter has an airy, whipped texture that feels non-greasy on the skin. The sugar scrub has a gentle abrasive texture, offering effective exfoliation without being sticky.

🎁 Packaging 🎁

The body butter comes in a 240g (8.4 oz) tub with a twist-off cap, and I prefer using a spare applicator to scoop out the product. The sugar scrub is packaged in a 510g (18 oz) tube with a twist-off cap, and I found it easy to scoop out the product with my fingers.

🏷️ Price 🏷️

Both the body butter and sugar scrub were priced at $8.99 at Target.

🙆🏽‍♀️ Repurchase or Nah?🙅🏽‍♀️

I would repurchase both the body butter and sugar scrub. I have repurchased my second Tropic Glow Body Butter already and it’s definitely on my go-to essentials list.

💭 Final Thoughts 💭

Overall, I had a fantastic experience with the Tree Hut Tropic Glow Firming Whipped Shea Body Butter. It exceeded my expectations, and I hope they never reformulate it unless they're adding glitter or shimmer. As for the Firming Sugar Scrub, I felt it didn't provide significant exfoliation, but I plan to repurchase it and try using it with an exfoliation glove to see if that improves the results.

⭐ Overall Score ⭐

I give the Tree Hut Tropic Glow Firming Whipped Shea Body Butter a perfect 5/5 as it's an absolute repurchase for me. The scent, texture, and hydration it provides make it a standout product. For the Firming Sugar Scrub, I would rate it 3.5/5 due to its limited exfoliation, but I would still repurchase it.

P.S. You can also find Tree Hut at Ulta as well. They had a sale on Tree Hut products which is when I repurchased my second tub of body butter and this time I decided to try the stunning looking Sparkling Gel Wash. 😍
